Dreams

Casino

Today, I dreamt that I suddenly had the urge to go to a casino. I invited my youngest sister, and without anyone else knowing, we went to the casino. I felt nervous because I had never done it before. At the entrance, we needed to buy tickets for the games. I only spent 5 euros, purchasing three identical and one different game ticket.

Once inside the casino, the tickets were exchanged for tokens. Something wasn’t right because it turned out that one ticket cost 20 euros, granting access to a private table and billiard games — not what I had intended. In the end, everything was resolved.

I finally entered the casino, where my sister was already waiting for me. Both of us grabbed our tokens and exchanged them for even smaller units. The gaming room wasn’t particularly large, and we were the only women there. Some men were playing driving games, while one was welding something.

As I walked by, I accidentally dropped a plate of buckwheat on the floor. At least the tokens didn’t fall! I felt very awkward, so I quickly tried to find a place to sit. My sister found some free screens. For a while, we tried to figure out how to start the game. There was a slot on the table where we had to insert a token, then place a disk to start the game.

Everything — the screens, keyboards, and games — was very old, and they lagged a lot. The games had stories that didn’t match the casino setting at all, and I couldn’t figure out how anyone could win money there. We went looking for other games but didn’t find anything interesting.

We spent some time there without really enjoying it. Suddenly, the games froze so badly that they couldn’t be played anymore. The casino manager explained that it was seven o’clock, and that this often happens. He mentioned that they had already made plenty of money. I replied, “Well, now it’s our turn to earn some.” He told us to check our slips.

My sister had won 20 euros, and I had won 20 cents. Finally, we left. I met my other sister and a few other people. We went to a shopping center.

I was convinced it was nighttime because earlier, the clock had shown 11 p.m., but it was bright outside. I looked at my watch, and it showed 48. I asked my sister what that meant. She said it was the time, just in a different format. Eventually, we found out that there was a new update — the “4” represented one time zone, and the “8” represented another.
